Gandhi

“An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind.”
In this movie, Gandhi and his friends discuss how they should react with the pain the British is giving the Indians at that time.  Everyone but Gandhi says that they should fight by with violence, but Gandhi says this quote and explains that if everyone fighting about everything. the world would be very corrupt and everyone would not get along.

“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible but in the end, they always fall -- think of it, ALWAYS.”

This quote was said when Gandhi was fasting.  This quote means that all the violence that the British are doing seems invincible and strong at that time, but in the long run the violence would never end in a good result.  Peace, love, and truth would result in a positive way.

This movie showed me a deeper view of Gandhi's non-violence act and think that the world should not fight against each other but get along
